Guide to character creation

Jump to: navigation, search

Since Silkroad Online is a MMORPG, your character is the most important thing to you, and the only thing you have. Making it stronger happens by killing monsters (either solo or in a shared party), and completing quests. For this you recieve both Experience and Skill Experience, Experience is needed to gain levels, while Skill Experience is required to "buy" skills, 400 Skill Experience equals 1 Skill Point. Once you progress in the game you can join guilds, and eventually unions, with friends or anyone you like.

After an account has been created at Silkroad Online, one can login to the server of choice.

Once there, the user can create a character (by clicking on "Create") according to his/her preferences. Choices available are:

  1. Chinese / European (Permanent)
  2. In Game Name (Permanent)
  3. Gender (Can be changed with the use of Silk)
  4. Character appearance (Can be changed with the use of Silk)
  5. Size (Can be changed with the use of Silk)
  6. Height (Can be changed with the use of Silk)
  7. Weapon (Not permanent)
  8. Armor (Not permanent)

Thereafter, the user can log in and enjoy Silkroad Online.

After registering a login name and password on the game Web site, the player logs in to the gameisisis through the client, then creates a new character. The player has the choice of starting as a character of the Chinese or European race, starting at opposite ends of the game map. To set up the new character, the player creates a name for their character, a "figure," or a character with a small back story, and their character's height and volume, which will not be relevant to game play and will alter only their character's appearance. Then, two other fields are chosen (which do alter game play): the starting clothing type and starting weapon. Hereafter the new-made character can enter the world of Silkroad. Monsters are killed and quests are done to gain levels (as with many MMORPG's). Upon reaching level 20 players can participate with the triangular conflict, being either a hunter, trader, or thief.
