"Build" is the word often referred to when talking about a character, and defines their abilities, strengths and weaknesses:
- Strength-Intelligence Ratio (by example "Full STR" or "Hybrid INT")
- Full Strength [For EACH LEVEL: 90 Levels of... Strength]
- Full Intelligence [For EACH LEVEL: 90 Levels of... Intelligence]
- Hybrid 1:7 [For EACH LEVEL: 11 Levels of... Strength, 79 Levels of... Intelligence]
- Hybrid 2:1 [For EACH LEVEL: 2 Intelligence, 1 Strength]
- Protector
- [Chinese] Choice of protector (full Garment, full Protector, full Armor, or a Armor-Protector mix)
- [European] Choices of protector (full Robes, full Light Armor, full Heavy Armor, or a Heavy Armor-Light Armor mix)
- Classes (by example Cold+Pacheon+Force or Rogue+Warrior)
- Popular Chinese builds include:

- A builds "Strength" is defined by:
- Ability to take damage (Surviving the other players damage)
- High HP
- High physical/magical defense
- The ability to block
- Absorption physical/magical rate
- Defensive buffs
- Recovering from damage (healing oneself)
- Ability to lower damage from opponent
- Ability to deal damage (Killing the other player)
- High physical/magical damage
- Damage buffs
- Critical chance
- Ranged attacks
- Ability to lower defense of opponent
- Ability to disable (Everything what disables the other player to attack you)
- Stun [Heuskal, Bicheon, Pacheon, Warrior, Warlock, Force, Rogue]
- Sleep [Warlock]
- Knockdown [Bicheon, Warrior, Rogue]
- Knockback [Heuskal, Warrior, Pacheon, Wizard, Rogue]
- Bind [Cleric, Wizard, Bard]
- Fear [Wizard, Bicheon]
- Ability to debuff (Lowering the other players defense and/or damage)
- Lowering physical/magical defense [Warlock, Force, Bicheon]
- Lowering physical/magical attack [Warlock, Force, Bicheon]
- Lowering range of ranged attacks [Warlock]
- Raising potion delay [Warlock, Wizard]
- Lowering attack rating [Force]
- Lowering parry ratio [Force]
- Ability to take damage (Surviving the other players damage)
(*)There are also other builds that aren't commonly used do to the fact of being complicated (such as Pure STR, Robe, Warrior/Warlock), or due to the huge ammount of sp reqired (Pure INT, Robe, Wizard/Warlock), or due to conflicts about its efficiency (Pure Str, Light Armor Rogue/Warlock). However those builds have been demonstrated to be as good as the commonly used builds -if not better- which was further proven by PVP videos of player using those builds.
