A new forum + the list!

As people read in [Only registered users can see links. ], about the usergroups and such, we ( some members ) decided to make a new forum, that it's not based only on silkroad, but on any other MMO. with a bigger community, and the same full of love members (flamers) we have here.
WHY DID I MADE THIS THREAD?
so you people post your opinions about how the next forum shall be, if the most of us like them, then I will add it to The List.

so, let's hear your suggestions people, it's gonna be a forum not only about sro, but about any mmo(note that again)

A thing called:
Explain Ur Game
or so, where you can just explain what the you play is like, what features it has and such.
Ones a game has been posted, it'll be placed as a sticky and if you have something to add about that game, you should post it in the same thread.
That way it'll stay clean and people will get to know all games

You didn't get it. The idea was to start over... from almost scratch. Like equally focusing on more games rather than just SRO.

But I just think it should contain that... that keeps the forum clean, because people won't start a thread about their game as soon as they find it / find the new forum.

If it's a forum about all MMORPG P-Servers / all MMORPGs, than you still have to explain about all, but if everyone explains the same game over and over again, it'll make it all really messed up.

To start from scratch with a more global gamer based forum would require a new host name, since the current is based on sro, so basiclly we need a new site, new host, new cms system (setting it up too), new guy who pays for the bills.
And some crappy name like "gameon.blogspot.net" isnt rly a improvement of what we got....

Im just saying, too much work for a namechange...

Its better to change the current cms system, keep the name and url, but new design and new page setup.

And this current forum is working just fine, we just need reliable active mods/admins, since THC is busy/ dont bother and Acid/Jon got lots of stuff in his personal life to take care of ( Gratz Jon ) .

peoples know this site, and whenever they get here, they will be redirected to the new site ( deli might do that ).

I dont care what you call me, but im not the one who wanna spend my sparetime and money on setting up a website wich basiclly have a dead community.
I know a new design, new mods, new users, and more advertisement would do a bunch, but still if the current mods are the same shitheads as usually then its not worth a dime.

Look at all the inactive mods we have, i can understand why they left, some left for personal matters, and some left because the community is dead.

This community is basicly a flamewar with 3 active users, i dont see the point in keeping a flamewar alive.

Maybe you were both right? Deli with the whole database/website thing and Miawz with the activity thing.

One thing is for sure and that is that this community is dead. We got 8-9 staff members here, but only 3-4 are active. On top of that we just got 4-5 active members and a crap load of 1posted who just wanna look for the info they need and bail out again.

I still like the idea of resetting this forum with some new stuff etc. But maybe it's not worth the time and effort anymore. I'm really starting to doubt if this forum will ever be active again tbh.

ONTOPIC:
The community is dead. Yes, we know. What reason do you think was behind the idea of turning the site into an MMO focused one? SRA started with just a few people, got slowly famous ingame because of nb&fly, then their guild, union, confed. and so on, they (well idk really who exactly, maybe THC) created the wiki, upgraded the forums with interesting new features, etc... so more and more users came.

The point is, it started with a very small group of people, motivated people with ideas. We got that too.

Also, we know THC is the only one who can make big changes around here. gThief created the thread in preparation for and in hope of THC returning and making that "wishlist" come true. If it won't, it will be just another thread to die along with the whole forum.

EDIT:
@Miawz: The only thing this site needs from THC is a DNS and logo change. CMS, host, bills, design and whatever else you came up with earlier can stay the same. gThief knew that perfectly.

if we're talking about the forum itself, then yea, with the community of sra+some new members that will join. forums may look like epvp.
saying epvp-like does not mean a rip from epvp, it's gonna be just another mmo-based forum, something LIKE epvp and also like mmofans, onrpg forums, linkmania, it's just gonna be another mmo-forum like all the others.

Its made in joomla, so i basiclly didnt do anything myself...

This is made from the scratch, and basiclly cant do anything, it was just some schoolwork lol
