Welcome to Silkroad Addiction Forum. To ensure your stay is pleasant, there are a set of simple rules and guidelines that every member are expected to abide by. [Basic Forum Rules] A1] No spamming or illegal advertising. A2] Flaming other members based on their age, race, nationality, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, appearance, or disability will not be tolerated. A3] No posting of executable files without prior authorization from a member of SRA staff. Intentional posting of a malicious file will result in a permanent ban. [Silkroad Related] S1] No selling of game accounts for cash is permitted. You may, however, trade or give accounts away. S2] PK2 editing is generally allowed on this forum. However, be aware that they are generally against the ToS of the version of SRO you are playing, so do so at your own risk. [Bot Related] B1] Do not post a download link to a bot. B2] Do not flame other people for not botting. B3] Do not persuade others to bot.
We prohibit the discussion of botting. If you must, then do it privately in PM or elsewhere. If you think someone bots, do not post evidence of another member's botting with the intent of getting him or her banned, since we don't conduct witch hunts here. We want a sense of community, not one of distrust. We are not the Silkroad Police either; we don't care what people do inside the game or in real life. We have jurisdiction only on what happens on SRA. If a person abides by the rules of the forum and is a good contributing member, then he or she can remain as a member of SRA. [Flaming]
We take pride for being a unique forum. We generally allow flaming but with certain restrictions, usually as long as it doesn't violate the rules stated above. We do realize that this is a forum, where the exchange of information takes place at a rapid pace. There will be inevitably be arguments, heated debates, guild rivalries, and flames. Many people are inherently not very tactful and have participated in flames to some degree. Therefore, SRA's staff will not intervene unless they feel that it is necessary or if it goes too far. Note that you also have the option of adding a person to your ignore list in the UserCP. [Signature]
Please keep your signatures at a reasonable size. If you use a huge or inappropriate sig, we will let you know. If you violate the rule again, the ability for you to use a sig will be disabled. [Elastic Clause]
We like to keep our rules short and simple. However, rules that are not explicitly stated do not mean that you are welcome to do it with our blessing. You will usually be warned if you violate any rules not explicitly stated, except in severe cases where it would defy common sense. We reserve the right to take any administrative action deem appropriate, based on a case-by-case basis. We also have the right not to take action against a person who violates a rule, depending on the circumstances. People who have a pattern of rules violations may be subjected, up to, a temporary or permanent ban. We do not like banning people, and as such, we will try to be as reasonable and as fair as possible to everyone. Unless the offense is very serious, everyone gets a 120-day ban, for we believe in second chances. However, that does not mean your records will be wiped clean, as you will be under stricter scrutiny for any misconduct.
