A full guide for chinese builds!
I've been working on this guide for a while, I've covered all the builds in chinese.
If there's anything missing here, please tell me

Let's begin with:


 
Weapon: Glavie/Spear(only of it has better physical attack damage)

Advantages:
- Massive amount of damage.
- Can kill enemies fast.
- Alotta HP + Fast kill together.

Disadvantages:
- Slow hitting speed.
- Can't equip shields.

What to wear?
- Garment, because of the high STR Defense.


Skills:

-Heuksal: All skills on that mastery tree exepts of the fanning spear.

Fire:
-Imbue: best imbue here, it will give the maximum physical damage and will cause burn to enemy.
- Flame Body Series: Increases physical damage.
- Fire Protection series: Provides you with more magical defense which you need (use this only when fighting enemies that attack with magic)
- Fire shield series, don't unlock that skill because it requires shield that you can't use here.
- Fire wall: I'd not recommend unlocking that skill because you're a meelee fighter, and activating that skill you disable you from moving.
- Fire combustion: VERY helpful when jobbing against euro chars as they will hide using stealth and stuff, unlock that.
- The passive skill (at the very bottom): Increases physical damage.


Light:
- Imbue: not gonna need it, we have fire.
- Piercing Force Series: not gonna need it, it increases magical damage.
- Grass Walk Series: everybody needs speed, do it.
- Lion Shout: No, it's a nuke.
- Concentration Series: Yes, unlock that, you're gonna need parry ratio.
- Thunderbolt Force Series: No, this is a nuke.
- Heaven's Force: Yes, additional Parry Ratio.

The reason why we don't want Ice is that it's all about Phy Defense that we have enough of.





 
Main weapon:
- Blade/Shield.

Stat points go to:
- STR.

Main protection:
- Garment.

Advantages:
- Fast hitting.
- The shield's extra defense (thanks for curvekiller for pointing)

Disadvantages:
- Slow grinding.
- Low Damage for an STR.

Skills:
The exact same rules as glavier, but here you're gonna need:
- Fire shield in the Fire mastery.
- Bicheon Force Series, reduces shield defense and increases damage (you can leave it if you don't want it)





 

Weapon:
- Bow. (buy a bow with the best crit you can)

Protection:
- Garment.

Advantages:
- Fast Grinding.
- Ranged attacking.

Disadvantages:
- Kinda low damage.

Skills:

- Pacheon:
This is the weapon mastery.
In a few words, max this to 100 + all skills.

- Fire 100:
This is a very important force mastery for you, why?
- It's imbue has the best physical attack power.
- Flame Body Series: it will increase your phy power.
About the other skills I'll be saying max out everything, you're gonna need them all exepts of the Fire Wall Series.

- Cold 100:
A bower doesn't need anything from the cold and light, but it's more useful for him to go for ice, why?
You might wanna freeze the enemies before fighting them with the Cold Wave.
And the buff will give you more phy damage, so it helps when in a PVP.
The only thing you don't want on this mastery is the Snow Shield, it will take some of the damage affection from the HP and put it on the MP, you really don't want tha as an STR.
A light is almost about giving advantages for INTs, so it's better to go for ice.





 

Weapon:
- S/S means Sword/Shield.

Protection:
- Heavy Armor.

Stat points go to:
- MP, that's why we need armor (all stat points go to MP = Low physical defense)

Advantages:
- Extremely high damage.
- Fast leveling and grinding.
- Ranged attacks.

Disadvantages:
- Extremely low HP.
- Fast death.
- Gotta always be careful and cautious when fighting.

Skills:
- Bicheon 100: you weapon is sword and you're definetly gonna need that for finishing enemies.
- Smashing Series: We don't need that much, unlock it for the fist few levels to make faster kills.
- Chain Sword Attack Series: Yes unlock it as it will do some damage to your mobs in a short time if you're meeleeing them.
- Shield Technique: This build is about attacking and not defending, not gonna need it.
- Blade Force Series: This is an STR ranged attack, is good for fast starting against a mob, Unlock that too.
- Hidden Blade Series: YES, YES and YES, unlock that, this will help you VERY much if you feel you're gonna die, it will knock down the enemy which disables him for attacking you which gives you the time to pot/run away.
- Killing heaven Blade Series: If you're gonna unlock the Hidden Blade Series, you're 100% gonna unlock that too, it will stab the enemies when knocked down.
- Sword Dance Series: Nah, you're not gonna need that, you have enough ranged attacks, but if you want it, why not?
- Bicheon Force Series: It will reduce shield defense and increas phy damage, means it's useless for INTS.
- Passive Skill: Unlock it because it increases your blocking ratio.

- Light 100:
- The Imbue: it will increase your INT damage more than any other imbue.
- Piercing Force Series: Will increase your magical damage, unlock.
- Wind walk series: Increases your speed when buffing, another book on that series gives you the ability to move at a massive speed for a short distance (almost teleporting) which will give you the ability to run and pot or nuke from a far point.
- Lion Shout Series: A quick nuke for giving the last hit or finishing weak enemies, every nuker needs that.
- Concentration Series: Increases Parry Ratio (the parry ratio increases the probability of hitting the max damage you can.
- Thunderbold: This is what nuker is about, this is the nuke.
- Passive Skill: will give you additional parry ratio.

- Cold 100:
- Many people would say go for fire, but I disagree why? I'll explain next:
- Imbue: Not gonna need it, we have light.
- Frost Guard Series: Increases physical defense that we need while in Fire it will increase the magical defense that we don't.
- Cold Wave Attack Series: You can max that out or just unlock 2 books or whatever you want, it's quick and will frostbite your enemies slowing down their movement which gives you the time to run/pot at critical situations.
- Crystal Shield: Same as Shield Technique.
- Frost Nova Series: Slow casting, Freeze, the cold wave will do, leave that alone.
- Snow Storm Series: Nuke...
- Snow Shield: It separates the damage you take to HP and MP, You have a massive amount of MP that you don't need some of it.
- Passive Skill: extra Magical Defense, unlock that.





 
Weapon:
- Spear.

Protection:
- Garment/Protector. (I prefer protector)

Advantages:
- Almost the same damage as S/S nuker.
- More HP = More surviving.
- More phy power.

Disadvantages:
- Complication with Stat Points (no longer here)

Stat points:
- Alot of people go for 5:1 6:1 x:1 whatever, but the best IMO is 8:1, it provides you with good HP and magical damage.
- Putting the Stat points will go like this: Until lvl 11, you're going to put all stat points in HP, after lvl 11, all stat points will go to MP.

Skills:
- Heuksal 100. This is the weapon mastery and you're gonna need it so much.
Unlock all skills here exepts the:
- Fanning spear.
- First row. (max out the first book only for low lvls)
- Dragon Fly.

- Light 100:
You're gonna use the light imbue and every skill.
The buffs will increase your magical damage and parry ratio and speed.
You're gonna need every single skill in here, so max everything out.

- Cold 100.
I'm gonna say the same thing as S/S, cold is all about saving your HPs and protection against physical attacks which an INT char needs.
For the cold Nuke, it sucks at the beginning but it rocks as soon as you unlock the Ice Rain.
At cold you're gonna pretty much need everything exepts of:
- Frost Nova.
- Frost Wall.




 

8:1 S/S Nuker!

Weapon: Sword & Shield (S/S)

-Advantages:
- Lots of damage!
- Fast grdinding.
- Increased health than pure Nuker.
- Higher STR damage.

Disavantages:
- Low health (well not exactly)
- STR players may kill you fast.

What to wear?
- Prot/Armor: I'd recommend prot because it's balanced between STR and INT protection (my own thought)

Skills:

Bicheon:
- Chain Sword Attack Series: I'd recommend this one for any INT build.
(If you don't wanna wait for big damage(nuke charging), just bring it... in pieces)
- Shield Technique Seies: In critical situations, this could help ALOT!
- Blade Force Series: Yes yes and YES! this is the most important skill in this tree, knock him down and don't let him touch you!
- Hidden Blade: Why would you wanna unlock the BFS if you're not going for this one?
(this is for stabbing the knocked down opponents as you can't hit them any other way)
- Sword Dance Series: if you wanna attack more than one opponent at a time and you're outta light nuke, this could help! Go for it!
- Bicheon Force Series: this decreases your shield defensive power and increases your STR power. this will help if you have a kickass pimped shield!
- Passive skill: Increased blocking ration=YES!

Light:
In few words: YES FOR EVERYTHING!!
(increased Mag power, Speed, Best nuke, Quick new, Imbue...) every series is a must!

Now I don't know about if you wanna go with fire or cold here, both have good advantages, it somehow depends of the type of protection you want to wear.
If you're going with light amor, I'd recommend cold since most of it's buffs add phy defense.

And if you'll go with heavy armor (high phy def), I'd recommend you going with fire.
It has a kickass nuke and buffs.

So it's all up to you picking whether you wanna go with fire or cold.

Id say, im garm on ecsro with a s/s nuker, works fine for me.

Depends on who you pvp most (int/str) and what mobs u grind.

And you get higher mag def by default as int.

Nice guide though, although like Miawz pointed out already, there are some things I don't completely agree with, but it's a very nice guide to start with if you want to make a chinese build^^

The guide is a a bit biased towards STR chars. Firstly you look down on INT chars when you say an INT bower is useless (it's one of the best Unique Hunters, go figure), secondly when you say that hybrid INT chars die easily (hell no, did you try to duel a hybrid s/s?)

Also Walls can pretty damn save your life in a PvP if you know when to put them up.

Else it's a nice guide

You can't expect very little thing to be put into consideration. This guide is great for a beginner to pick a build. At the higher levels they can look for more specific guides.

Yeah, but telling a beginner "This is the way to play SRO" is not a good idea imo. He'll get used to that and he will grow the same thoughts about the game, the same ideas and he will guide other newbies the same way you/we did. That's how dogmas arise >.<

Hybrid swordsman are good too.

Int bow is extremely good too. If you didn't know, a bow has a higher magical attack than a sword, and a glaive too I think. So you could nuke with a bow along with shooting with it.

Yeah most people automatically think Int = Sword/Spear, Str = Blade/Glavie/Bow But what a lot don't know is that bow has the second highest magical attack (tied with glavie) after a spear.

And with two knockback arrow combos, and the stun, it's gonna be really good in pvp and even better with Uniques.

I think that I haven't ever reached a very much high lvl in SRO and I'm taking in consideration the solo PVE and not party PVE because I haven't experienced that before.

nice guide, specialy for the beginners in SRO

I prefer fire for an INT build, a too long story to explain here, lightning is getting more and more useless at higher caps. fire/bich100, cold 80, light 20 -> garm

also I prefer force with glavie (and maybe bow)

And ic that you dont unlock the flying dragon series @ heuskal, believe me, that skill at lvl 98 hit at least as much as a nuke (for INT ofc) ^^

Nice guide, but has some faults.
As pure or Hybrid int is best to wear Garment or at least protector.
Garms is good since it reduces mp consumption which is really high especially if youre using snow shield. Also nukes cost more than 10k mp +3k imbue at 100.
So if youre not in garms youre screwed mp 0 dmg like no snow shield+ no chance to attack equals death!!! Protector is something in the middle which can be used if you dont wanna wear garms at all.
Also you say nuker has to get light imbue to max dmg. Totally wrong since fire has most dmg for all builds, so I say who will loose fire will loose dmg+ immunity and strongest nukes there are. Id rather drop lightning than fire in this cap.
You have 315% and 330% nukes which will make more dmg than light.
Also you have 4 nukes which will make light useless to skill to 100.
I have full nuker(100ice-light-fire with all nukes light fire) no weapon which makes his nukes strongest as it could be, only pvp sux, but I made this char for trades and fw so it works best I give extreme high dmg from far away while my str buddies tank the thiefes a.s.o.
So if youre not too much into pvp this works really well.
So everyone has its preferences on builds, but to say fire is weak is plain wrong. Also full str bows should skill all but nukes and shouts on light because of high dmg increase speed. Also firewall is very nice for bow since he doesnt have to move to attack and takes away 1-2 nukes from highlvl nukers which can save his ass^^.
Full int bows are not my taste but I guess in unique hunting they should be nice.
In pvp I guess theyd have probs against all str builds but I cant say exactely.
So thats all and much I guess.

LOL full str bow has HUGE dmg, the whole point is to crit them rofl, thats why full str +bow =rapist in pvp. in ecsro at least i can kill guys 10 lv higher then me, but then agian i got a sun+10 set all +100% lol. but i use lightning imbue because it lowers glaviers/ s/s guys parry ratio ALOT at highers lvs,and that increases a chance that you can hit a crit AND a chance to do more dmg. str bowers here are really under-estimated =P

Personally i think ice is useless for bowers, what now with knockback combos and stunning shots, you dont need the extra def cuz 1. knockback+stun= no resistence if u get all the stuns etc. 2. YOUR FULL STR that gives u at least a bit of phys def. and 3. they invented potions for a reason, to be spammed by your autopot! just buy pots 1 size larger then u really need and set the autopot to about 75% give or take a bit, and you'll win everytime anywhere! My personal experiences compell me to right this cuz of the Disadvantages
-kinda low damage

which is wrong if you can farm enough =D

I thought the best hybrid build was one that was hybrid based on the %'s and not the stat points. I had a bunch of friends in iSRO who used the 70/70 (%) build and pvp when it was chinese only that type of hybrid dominated pvp. I'm probably gonna do something similar to that on SwSRO just to abuse the botters.
